Come Visit Our Historic House

The Fairbanks House is open to the public for tours from May-October. Tours are available Tuesday - Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Tours begin every hour, on the hour. The last tour of the day begins at 4:00pm.

The Fairbanks House is located an easy 25 minute drive by car from Boston. The house is at the corner of East Street and Eastern Avenue in Dedham. Parking is available in our driveway off Eastern Avenue, or on any street. The house may also be reached by MBTA bus and the commuter rail.

Travel Directions By Car

From Boston:

Take Route 1 to Dedham, turn left at the Gulf station onto Eastern Avenue. Continue on Eastern Avenue, about 4/10ths of a mile. The Fairbanks House will be on your right.

From Boston via the Massachusetts Turnpike:

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike west from Boston. Get off the Massachusetts Turnpike at the I95/128 South exit. Proceed south along I95/128 until you get to exit 15A. Use exit 15A to Dedham, drive north along Route 1 through three traffic lights, about 1.3 miles until you see a Gulf station. Turn right onto Eastern Avenue. Continue on Eastern Avenue, about 4/10ths of a mile. The Fairbanks House will be on your right

From Boston - Commuter Rail

Take the Franklin Line train from South Station or Back Bay Station to Dedham's Endicott Station. It is about a 20 - 25 minute walk from Endicott Station. Walk down the hill and turn right onto East Street. The Fairbanks House will be on the left.     Train schedule
